Solid Fuel Trade Group

Welcome

The Solid Fuel Trade Group (SFTG) represents the leading players in the domestic solid fuel market in Ireland. Our members account for approximately two thirds of carbon tax (CT) revenue paid on solid fuel. We have led the way in working to reduce carbon emissions and collect tax for the State. In addition, we have introduced low sulphur fuels, have collected over €60m in carbon tax and are supportive of Eco Design directive (2022) which will fundamentally address both carbon and particulate emissions.
